Please read these terms carefully before using SecureVoult. By accessing our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SecureVoult ("Service", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. The Service

SecureVoult provides a platform for sharing sensitive information via time-limited, self-destructing one-time links. The Service includes:

  • Creation of encoded secret links with configurable expiry and view limits
  • Optional passphrase protection for shared secrets
  • Automatic deletion of secrets after viewing or expiry
  • AES-256 encryption of secret content at rest

The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use SecureVoult to:

  • Share passwords, API keys, and access credentials securely
  • Transmit sensitive business information to authorized recipients
  • Share personal information you have the right to share
  • Send confidential documents or messages on a one-time basis
  • Any other lawful purpose consistent with these Terms

You are solely responsible for the content of secrets you create and share using SecureVoult.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use SecureVoult to share, transmit, or distribute:

  • Illegal content — anything that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws
  • Malware or harmful code — viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious software
  • Child exploitation material — any content that sexually exploits minors
  • Personal information without consent — data about third parties without their explicit permission
  • Credentials for unauthorized access — passwords or keys to systems you do not have permission to access
  • Spam or phishing content — deceptive links or messages designed to defraud recipients
  • Threats or harassment — content intended to threaten, intimidate, or harass individuals

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of access and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of content

We do not warrant that secrets will be delivered, stored for the full intended duration, or accessible when expected. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SecureVoult SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
  • Statements or conduct of any third party using the Service
  • Any other matter relating to the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if:

  • You breach any provision of these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • Your use of the Service is harmful to us, other users, or third parties
  • We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, all active secrets associated with your usage may be deleted. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and disclaimers) shall survive.

8. Intellectual Property

The SecureVoult name, logo, codebase, design, and all related intellectual property are owned by SecureVoult. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our software without permission
  • Use our trademarks or branding without express written consent
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

You retain all intellectual property rights in the content of the secrets you create. By using the Service, you grant us no rights in your content beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of SecureVoult is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
